30-Day Meditation Course has been
proven to help the
practitioner make it through the difficult beginning stages, where many aspiring meditators often become frustrated and quit.

The common roadblocks
to a regular meditation practice are many, but the
benefits are powerful and
diverse. The mindful, consistent practice of meditation has been shown
to provide stress relief, enhance
creativity, slow the aging process, induce deep sleep, and offer peace of
mind that lasts. Once beyond the common pitfalls, the beginning
student of meditation can then begin to experience the rich ground of an
ongoing practice.

Drawn from different cultures and spiritual origins,
the StillMind.net course includes relaxation techniques,
stress relief techniques, and meditations such as Vipassana
(insight meditation), Mantras, Centering Prayer, Metta (loving kindness), Zen, Savasana (relaxation
response),
walking meditation, eating meditation, pain techniques, specific stress
relief meditations, sleep aids, and many others. The
course
is suitable for meditation and stress management students of all levels.

There
will be daily comments on certain aspects of meditation, misconceptions
and misunderstandings, along with what meditation is and is not.
There will also be suggestions called Mindful Moments for bringing small
meditations or reflections into your daily affairs. The goal is to
bring mindfulness into your day to day, hour to hour, minute to minute
routines, making awareness and presence in the moment a fruitful part of
your life.
When you
register, you will
receive meditation instruction via e-mail for 30 consecutive days. During this time, e-mail
or phone contact with the teacher is encouraged
to fine-tune and support your practice. You may also
access the specific articles and links on this website to further your understanding
about different aspects of meditation.
New sessions begin every week on
Fridays. Emails are sent the evening before they are to be used, so that
the meditation for the day will be in your inbox bright and early.
Registration deadline is 12 noon EST each Thursday for
sessions starting the next day.
